The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of the Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. At RVS College of Nursing, the NSS aims to provide hands-on experience in community service to young students.
We help foster a campus-community bond by actively involving our students in a n umber of Community activities. Thus, we develop the students’ comprehensive personality and democratic attitude through community service.
NSS Volunteers should be involved in the activities such as
Awareness Programmes &Rallies (e.g., HIV &AIDS, Substance abuse, Child abuse, Road safety, Swine flu, Dengue, Mental health, Corona, etc.)
RED RIBBON CLUB (RRC) & YOUTH RED CROSS (YRC)
Red Ribbon Club is a movement started by the Government of India in schools and colleges through which students will spread awareness of HIV/AIDS.
The RRC and YRC are wings for the students to bring social awareness by providing relief in times of disasters and emergencies and promoting the health and care of vulnerable people and communities.
RRC and YRC Wing members should be involved in activities such as
Promotion and protection of health and life.
Promotion of Health and Hygiene.
Selfless service to the sick and suffering.
Disaster relief to victims. Relief work during emergencies like floods, fires, earthquakes, and other natural calamities.
Service to others, such as First Aid and Home Nursing.
Eradication of social evils such as Drug Addiction, HIV/AIDS, Female Feticide, Dowry, Illiteracy, etc.
Promotion of Voluntary Blood Donation & Organ Donation Movement.
